  1. This is all you need to get it wired! http://www.incarsound.co.uk/power_wires.htm
  2. Hi! I was new to all this too when I changed everything so no worries there!! My journey went like this... Changed the front speakers - drove for about a week (I commute 50 miles a day which is why I bought the C1 -petrol costs fell!) - found that the diference was there and it was louder but still lacked ooomph. Added the rear speakers - sounded much better and louder but still lacked any kind of bass. Changed the head unit - mainly for the mp3 convenience - 6 albums per cd so less to carry around - sounded much much better but being greedy still wanted more!! Added the sub and amp - takes approximately just under half the boot. Sounded unbelievable! Miss it dearly. Now lets get something cleared up - I am not a boy racer (in a C1???????) so I wasn't after the thump thump that souped up cars make as they pass - I was only interested in the nice sound quality that came with the bass and basically 4 speakers giving the higher frequencies. My 50 mile round trip to work will never be the same and if I could I would add the sub and amp to my C2 - but can't as the car has one of those LCD info screens for the radio so changing the head unit to the JVC simply wouldn't work on that. I did not have to drill any holes for the sub and amp - you can run the cable through a citroen cable hole in the front bulk head. This allowed me to remove when I sold the car last week with no sign it was ever there. I live in south west London - Hampton. I was going to put it all on Ebay for £85 buy it now - its all in really good condition. But make an offer if you want!!
  3. Hi Timmy, I had a C1 for a year and a half and changed the speakers in the first month or so. I put two 'Alpine SXE-1025S 10cm Speakers' from Halfords in the front (itemcode: 680884-0) and I cut two holes in the back parcel shelf for two decent sized (150w 3 way) Sony speakers. My C1 which was a 2006 had enough speaker inputs no problem. You can tell by seeing if you have a 'Fade' feature on the radio. Nitty Gritty bit - in order to install the fronts, I had to carefully cut two of the speaker mounts off the new Alpines in order to make them fit. Very very easy. BUT - then I found with all my new speakers that the headunit was still weak despite all this extra capability. So I went on Ebay and bought a C1 headunit adapter fascia and slotted in my own 150w JVC (with 400w amp in the boot and a 10" subwoofer!!). Then the car sounded excellent!! Incidently - I have the JVC (mp3) headunit, C1 Fascia, Amp and Sub for sale if anybody is interested!! Sounds amazing in a little C1 :P **EDIT** Should add that the reason it was taken out is because I bought a C2 airplay this week!!
  4. This was sooooo easy to fix!!! I went to Maplin and purchased a 'Universal Iso Connector' which has the wires already inserted into the back as per the ISO specification. I then looked at my current set up on the back of the JVC and inserted the ISO connector wires straight into the connector block! Connected the connector into the back of the original citreon radio and I was back to a tinny sound in minutes!!! Job done!! Easy Peasy!! :D
  5. Hi Everybody!! This is my first forum thread so apologies if this has been covered before :D When I bought my C1 I changed the headunit from the factory fit to a new JVC MP3 player. I am due to pick up a new C2 Airwave ( :D ) on Monday and I need to fit the old head unit back in. In my haste and excitement to fit the new one, I foolishly removed the iso block so now I do not know how to put the old one back on. Does anybody have a diagram of what wires go where on the back of the factory head unit? Identifying the wire colours and where they fit on the iso block would be helpful as would where the speakers connect. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance- James. EDIT** There are 3 ISO slots on the back of the unit. Which one is power? Middle or bottom?** Thanks again!
  6. Hi - my first post!! My C1 has done over 18,000 miles now and I have found that as it has got older it has also got loser. With that in mind, it is so nippy now I totally forget that its only got 3 cylinders. They say things get better with age - nippyness comes too!! ;)
