  1. Hi all, I have a late 95 TD. I have had suspension woe's off and on for a while now, I am at my whits end now. I just seem to be throwing money away. I do most of my work myself but entrust a Citroen specialist with the suspension work. I'm a bit reluctant to keep spending money. I have had all the spheres replaced within the last 12 months, and am now looking at replacing the height correctors, both front and back. (Or so I think. HELP!) The problems before were related to bumpy ride and dropping height at the rear. Now the front and rear are stuck in the highest position. The front was the first to go, so I went underneath to investigate. I couldn't find anything out of place, so I gave both correctors a good lube with WD40. Since I did this the rear is stuck in the high position too. It will come down at the rear, but when it does it goes all the way down. Is there a special lubricant to use? As this seems to have caused a problem with the rear. Can the correctors be stripped, to free any possible sticky parts/valves? Will I be able to get reconditioned height correctors or will it have to be new parts? Thanks in advance. Martin
  2. Nice 1, I've been using 30% so far as advised because of the weather at this time of year. Was going to wait for summer to go for the 50/50 mix. Don't you get any cold start problems on neat veg?
  3. Hi all, I know this must be an old thread by now, so firstly I'll start with an apology for boring some of you. I own a 95 TD and am thinking of adding vegetable oil as an additive, if you know what I mean... How much should I add? What should I expect, I.E. Performance? Smoke? Smell? I realize this may be tax evasion, so what to expect if I get tugged? If they crush my car I could cope with that, but will there be a hefty fine involved? Thanks Martin
  4. Thanks for the info, sounds like I'm not going to avoid paying to have it done for me... Thanks again.
  5. It's a 95 TD, No key pad in front of the gear stick. The key fob has 2 buttons with 1 red led.
  6. Hi all, I got hold of a new key fob to replace my old 1. The problem being that I'm having no joy in reprogramming said key fob. I followed the instructions that came with it and still can't get it to work. :) Can anyone walk me through the process? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi Marc, To stop the lights flashing you will have to isolate the alarm using your key. It's under the bonnet against the bulkhead towards the passenger side.
  8. Thanks for your advise, I took the car back to the citroen garage yesterday. Got her back today, £300 lighter and with no light on. Mot is on thursday... My decision was forced after I went to the breakers yard and tried to remove one of the rear ones... There was no way that sender was gonna budge...! Cheers.
  9. Cheers for the offer, but I'm in Bournemouth. Had a diagnostic check done by my local citroen garage today, not bad for the peace of mind and £30. Turns out that its as you said, F/O/S and R/O/S wheel sensors. Don't supose you have any of those, or know where I could get any reasonable used spares? Many thanks.
  10. I have a Xantia TD 1.9, last year for the mot, I needed to get a new ECU for the ABS. (ABS light was staying on after start up). It cost me £170 from a back street auto electrition, 3 months down the road the light was back on again... I'm very reluctant to go back to the said electrition. Does anyone know where i can get a second hand 1?
