Thanks for your reply James, I shall have a look at the negative wire as you say (or rather hubby shall) The car turns over and sounds like its about to start but just wont. When you try and switch on the engine all of the usual lights come on the dash (apart from the one saying your immobilisers broke!). Thanks again!

I don't know if anyone can help me! I had my friendly new citroen xsara on saturday after it had a traumatic ride from my brothers house in woodbridge to the midlands when the exhaust fell off. Anyways, the exhaust is all better now but yesterday hubby decided he'd change the battery on the car..... Then the immobilser lost its code or whatever the technical term is for it. A bloke came out to us and got the key re-coded and the car started. But now the car wont start, nor will the lights or windows work. The orange key 'n' card light isn't on though. I know it's gonna have to end up in a garage but was hoping maybe someone may be able to tell what might have happened... Any ideas?? Please help :P
