Thanks for the reply, but having searched the web for an answer before discovering this site I have actually tried your suggested method. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I'm trully stuffed as the radio manual states 14 attempts then you brick the unit.

Hi I have an X reg Xantia petrol 1.8 16v. Problem is I had to pull all the fuses to find a problem, and in doing so the radio is now asking for its code which I do have. According to the original manual I enter code eg 1,2,3,4 and it will automatically accept it if its correct.......the numerical pad on my stereo(original) only goes to 6 but the code has a 9 in it. I'm stumped. Does anyone have a solution to this. :)
