  1. Thanks for your help.
  2. I have reassembled in original condition as I am on holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow. But i can't recall seeing a small bolt at the bottom of the caliper. I have uploaded the photos to an image hosting site, so if anyone would like to take a look and offer advice I would be most grateful. http://img411.imageshack.us/g/brake1d.jpg/
  3. Hello John Thanks for the reply, I read several of the posts on this forum before taking on the job, I removed the handbrake cable and I fully expected to see a pin and R clip, but they are not there. The caliper is held in place by 2 torx bolts, and I can't see any way of moving the caliper and leaving the pads behind. It looks like I may have a different caliper assembly. I have some photos but I do not know how to attach them to this thread, i can email them if it would help.
  4. Hello I have tried to change the front pads and discs on my 2002 Citroen C5 2.2 HDI SX Estate, the problem is that after removing the two torx head bolts securing the calipers, I cannot slide the caliper assembly off of the disc because of the ridge on the edge of the disc. The ridge is caused because the pads do not reach the edge of the disc and when the disc wears it leaves a ridge at the edge. In my case it is about 1.5mm high on each side. I cannot force the piston back in the caliper because it is threaded and has to be turned as it is pushed back in, and I can't see a way of doing this with it fully assembled. The only thing I can think of doing is to use an angle grinder and grind the ridge down. Is this the way to go or is there an easier solution. Any advice greatly appreciated.
