2002 HDi 2.0 pre facelift model... thanks but I've done it now, I just wanted to be sure there were no problems with "hard wiring" it straight into the wiring loom. Some vehicles require an interface etc..

Are there any known problems when wiring the towbar electrics...???? Is it a straight scotch-lock connection into the rear light wires or is there a special way of doing this..??? I looked on my friends van and his is wired like this, although instead of having the left and right hand side light wires wired up individualy to the towbar loom, they are wired together as one light.. It appears that whoever wired it has just saved sending a wire across from one side light to another... also there is no beeper fitted..??? I have heard that direct wiring into the loom can cause damage to vehicle electrics..??? Anyone..??? 2002 Berlingo 2.0 HDi ( not the new facelift model.. ) Thanks for the replies and I have now done it, with bleeper fitted.... I was just wondering if there would be any problems such as stereo won't work, dash stop working etc.. I have wired towbars in before, but as you all know, alot of electrical problems do happen on this type of vehicle.. and I just wanted to be sure.

UPDATE... Have replaced the 2 short rubber connecting pipes ( 1 fits to the lower part of the turbo and the other fits to a manifold ) and replaced the black plastic pipe above the steering rack.... Problem solved... :) IT'S A VERY FIDDLEY AND AWKWARD JOB TO DO... Removed the air filter, battery and tray to access the N/S upper jubilee clip on the manifold, Removed the O/S front wheel and inner wheel arch plastic, to access the jubilee clips on the turbo then it's just twisting and fiddling around with the plastic pipe to get it out...

2002 Berlingo van 2.0 HDi Have a hissing noise coming from under the front of the van when accelerating... It appears that it is coming from a black plastic pipe under the engine, just above the steering rack.. I have priced the part up at the local Citroen dealer.. around £35.00 Anybody fitted one of these...???? any help would be greatly welcomed. I do have the use of a workshop with a hydraulic ramp.

2002 Berlingo 2.0 HDi Van. Changed the cambelt now the speedo is not working... Replaced the speedo drive sender unit on the gearbox, but it still don't work.. Citroen dealer told me check all fuses, but I can't see any fuse relating directly to the speedo...??? Can't see any relays or fuses relating to the speedo. I have also been told that the ECU unit could have a problem...???? Any ideas...????
