  1. Hi Chris! Yes its a goer!(At least it should be) Just rivet it into place and connect it up! Tom (UK)
  2. Hi Iannez Did that already! Thanks for the suggestion! And yes there were two bkoken wires but they were for the central locking! The wiring traces fine from the switch to the motor! I need to find where th other two wires from the switch go! Tom
  3. I have a complete unit! £40 plus postage! Tom tomshayes@btinternet.com
  4. Yes probably!
  5. The BSI unit is basically a computer which handles a multitude of functions such as odometer value, central locking, lights and immobiliser. Some later Bsi units are liable to corrupt their own software program if not “woken up” in a specific way after programming keys or battery disconnection. Procedure for Initialising the BSI after key learning 1. Disconnect the diagnostic tool. WHAT DIAGNOSTIC TOOL  2. Put the driver’s window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.MY WINDOW IS JAMMED SHUT  3. Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.SHOULD I HAVE PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION IN ORDER TO REMOVE IT FOT SOME REASON? 4. Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds. 5. Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.) 6. Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.I CAN DO THIS THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW BY LEANING INTO THE CAR! 7. Switch on the ignition and check system’s functionality. 8. Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds. 9.remove key open & close door test central locking system 10. Start the engine and complete the system’s check. Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items. It did take three attempts following this procedure before it worked. This is advice only good luck Andy.
  6. What diagnostic tool???
  7. I have exactly the same problem with mine too! My battery cooked whilst on holiday in France and ever since i've had a new battery fitted to the car the remote fob has been useless! I've tried the reset procedure but to no avail! Tom
  8. My remote fob failed after I had the cars battery replaced! i have renewed the battery in the fob and tried the usual resseting process i.e. turn on the ign wait 10 seconds press the lock button turn off the ign wait three seconds stand on your head open the boot and get in etc but to no avail! the fob worked fine untill the cars battery died !]] Any ideas! Tom
  9. Hi I have a 2003 Xsara II 2.0 Hdi. I have suffered the usual electric widow problems in the past and have succesfully changed the window winder mechanism /electric motor and all has been fine for a car of its age and mileage! (120,000) :) I now have the problem that the drivers side window appears to be jammed shut! I suspect that the problem may be associated with the relay! The problem is that I can't find it! Any ieas whereabouts the relays are located? the passenger side works fine!! Thanks Tom
