Hi. I've bought a 95 Xantia 1.9td. Had god awfull suspension but that has now been sorted thanks to advice on here. Back to the magic carpet now. My problem is that the car stall's under hard braking. It also stalls going down hill between gear changes or if you freewheel down hill., which can be exciting as it results in heavy steering and hard brakes. What cofuses me is that it doesn't stall braking up hill or on the flat. It also doesn't stall either during normal gear changes. Only down hill and under braking. I'm used to V8 petrols and got this as its so cheap to run. Its my 1st diesel so I have a steep learning curve. Any ideas anyone?
