hi thanks for replying!! right tried what you said didnt work although after using my car this morning then not using it for a couple of hours when i started it the beeping had stopped??? also my key isnt remote central locking so has no buttons on it so couldnt try the key thing and its still not working.

i had my alternator replaced and since then when i start my car i get a continuous beep beep beep from the radio it stops if i turn the radio off also my central locking stoppped working and i get the message engine imobliser fault, car starts fine and runs fine (touch wood!!!!) any ideas would be gratfully received as ive spent quite abit of money on it lately :-)
