Hi All, Does anybody know the differance between citroen 2.2hdi engines DC4HX*/DE4HXG AND 10DZ12/PSAHX. The reason im asking is because i need to change my engine ( post Piston protrution )my car is a 04 and the replacement engine is from a 02 or 03 and im not sure if i can just swap them over. Also i have a 6 speed gear box and the replacement engine has a 5 speed gearbox what sort or problems is this going to bring. Many thanks Stuart

Is it possible to remove the engine without taking out the gearbox.Thank you

Thank you for your help. I think this must of been what has happened. Is it a big job to fix or would it be easier to just change the engine?.Stuart

Citroen C5 2.2hdi 03/2004 Hi All I have to replace my headgasket so i've removed the head ect,now i've come across a problem. When i checked the protrusion of the pistons,pistons 2 and 3 do not come above the top of the cylinder block.pistons 1 and 4 are both ok but 2 and 3 are 1.5mm - 1.8mm below the top of the block. Please please can anybody advise me of any reason this could happen and how to fix. Many many thanks Stuart
