I have had a couple of similar problems. Brought new C5 2.0 HDI in March 2005. Told by the dealer that service interval was every 20,000 miles or 2 years. Took car to my local dealer for free first month service, and they re-set the service counter to every 10,000 or 1 year. Took my service manual into the garage (clearly stating 20,000 / 2 years), and there excuse was 'we only work from the documentation citroen send us'. On looking at this, he eventually showed me, the service procedures they used covered up to model year 2004 i.e. before the face lift. Checked with an independant citroen garage, and yes the service interval for my model should be 20,000 or 2 years. Guess where I am not going for servicing. I also had a faint squeal from the brakes after 4 months, but this now seems to have stopped.
