  1. Yeah they are lovely cars, was pleased to see now Citroen has put Bluetooth in the Exclusive Models now and not just Airdream models, When I went with my friend to pick up his new C3 I saw a Demostrator on the forecourt with the 17inch wheels I loved them so I ordered those as well along with the Visability Pack.
  2. Welcome ;)
  3. My Friend is picking up his New C3 1.6HDi 90BHP Exclusive tomorrow. I am ordering a C3 1.6i 16v VTi Auto Exclusive in Citrus Green and Visability Pack at the end of the week.
  4. Welcome ;)
  5. Oh you have been a victim of that as well then. My brothers Staff when a pup done the exactly on his first 52 2003 C3 SX Auto. The Citroen Dealer fixed it for free as a favour to me.
  6. My Wheel did the same on my old 2005 C3 Exclusive at only 22,000 miles. My brothers old 2006 C3 Exclusive did as well his only did 33,700
  7. lol I have been like that when I had to give my old C3 back. I would still go and visit it at the Dealer before it went off up England way.lol Like saying goodbye to a member of the family. :) I am glad your happy with it. You know how to do the Auto Lights and stuff like that? Anyway anything you want to know just ask.
  8. lol My brothers was Wicked Red as well. He has that again now on his new C4 Picasso. The saying used to be Green was bad luck but I never had a problem with my green 2005 C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive SensoDrive in the 3 years I had it. Will look forward to hering your thoughts when you get it. Good thing is as well it would have had its 2 year Service last year as Motability highly maintain the vehicles.
  9. I know when I was at the dealer a few weeks ago a guy baught in a 06 Reg C3 1.6i 16v SX Auto and he owned it since new and only done 15,000 miles anyway his gearbox was playing up and even though it was a year out of warranty and would cost £800 to fix the Dealer got Citroen UK to pay £600 of the bill. But If it drove fine Cliff go for it. You said you don't do alot of miles so mpg isn't an issue. And not all of them are the same. My brother just seem to be unlucky but hopefully this car will be better. And as I said as for my brothers C3 Exclusive Auto the mpg was an issue but I think that KA hitting the side of it caused some of the other faults.
  10. Is it an ex motability car? Just changed my brothers 2009 58 C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive Auto early for a C4 Picasso 2.0HDi EGS VTR+ My brotherss was going ok untill a Ford KA smacked into the side of it in May 2009 causing it to go up on 2 wheels. It wasn't the same after that I found when Driving it. Gearbox was sluggish and would make an hissing noise when going up hills and lately it kept saying check oil which I did and it was fine but the warning still came up. And when I returned it for my brother last week to pick the Picasso up I went around a corner and it said Oil Pressure too low. Apart from my brother finding it hard getting in and out it was drinking petrol like no more tomorrow so hence I got Motability to change it early. It went back with just over 18,000 miles on the clock. If it wasn't for that crash I don't think it would have been so bad.

    C3 Auto 1.4 Sx

What A Nightmare. Early C3s seem to suffer with problems. Now me see I love the SensoDrive as I can only drive Auto's as I drive with Hand Controls because of foot problems where as my brother drives with them because he broke his back when in the Paras. My 1st car was a SensoDrive and I wanted another but I was told my the Service Manager at my Dealer early SensoDrives were suppose to been a nightmare. Now I am the complete opposit to your mother when I would drive my brothers C3 mostly the one he has just got rid of the 1.6i 16v Auto it used to frustrate me as the gear changes would be so sluggish it would takes ages to change up. Even when I used the Sequential Manual Mode it would take ages. When I handed it back for my brother last Wednesday to pick the C4 Picasso up it was showing faults then Check Oil Level (Been Doing that for a few weeks mind and it was fine when I checked) I went around a bend and it said Oil Pressure too low. And even since a Ford KA went into the side of it the Gearbox would make a hissing sound when going up hills. His 2003 52 C3 SX Auto never made it for its 1st MOT in our hands anyway as my Niece 15 at the time stole it and wrote it off. But a few months later I saw it on ebay and it looked good as new and is still going now as I check the tax on DVLA. But as for the Window Switch I had to wait one winters night with the car at -1 for the RAC to come. Fairplay to the guy he left the switch off so that we could still use the white plastic thing under the switch untill we got the switch replaced under warranty. the first time it happend we were over 100 miles from home and my brother had to use a black bag to cover it and drove home. I am wondering if your better off getting a switch off a newer witten off one as I never had problems with mine nor my brothers 2 after that and nor with my friends 2 C3s. As for the Cambelt I will check that out for you as I got alot of books here.lol you could say I am a Citroen Nut.
  12. Same as mine they are also a family owned business

    C3 Auto 1.4 Sx

My brothers old 2003 52 Reg C3 SX Auto used to do about that amount of miles on a full tank. Also I was talking to a guy a few years who had a 2005 05 Reg C3 1.4i SX Auto and he had done over 13,000 and it was still only doing 25mpg His 2009 58 C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive Auto was greedy too. Around town the computer would show 25.9mpg. This is one of the reasons I got him a early termination with Motability and he took delivery of a C4 Picasso 2.0HDi VTR+ EGS on Wednesday. The Window Switch are a pain on early C3s. 3 of them broke on my brothers. It had alot of problems in under the 3 years he had it. It cut out on me when I was coming down a hill how I didn't hit the houses at the bottom and made the bend I don't know as I couldn't stop. Oil had leaked into the gearbox so that needed replacing. Your mam hasn't the same car as she? my brothers was CA52 SGY
