Hi, I have a zantia 2.0i auto, the car is an exclusive model fitted with the sport mode and snow overide buttons, if I am in traffic at about 40mph sometimes the sport mode and snow lights on the dash flash together and the gearbox stays in a middle range gear and wont go into top. I can pull up, switch of and restart and things are back to normal I have a feeling this may be an electrical problem, can anyone help?

Hi DickieG, when I got back in January I had a look at the pedal area, found there was some play in the pedel so when I was out next I hooked my foot under the pedal, pulling it to its top position and then operated the cruise control, it then started working and has worked since so I think your idea on the pedal contacts was spot on. thanks ghmees

Auto gear box on xantia 1998 2.0i petrol. The car has done 75000 miles and is running great. but now and again mostly in town traffic I can get the odd jerk between lower gears, I have had auto boxes for the last 40 years and I would say this is still quite good, but I am thinking of changing the oil, can anyone offer advice on an additive to clean the seals etc and is it worth doing? thanks

Hi I have just bought a xantia 2.0i petrol automatic and the cruise control does not work. I press the switch on the dash and it lights up as ready. I engage the lever up or down . I can hear a switch or relay click but the speed control does not engage. any chance of some help on the subject thanks
