My 2005 C5 driver's window makes a creaking noise when operating. Is this a sign of impending doom?

Thank you David. This whole issue seems to me to be a local Citroen dealers' income enhancement scheme. The recommended change frequency in NZ is every 6 years or 60,000 KILOMETRES, yet driving conditions here in NZ are far more 'clement' than those in the UK. We have less polluted air, less heavy traffic conditions and far more temperate temperatures. Nevertheless, all necessary parts are now on the way to me in NZ from Car Parts Direct in the UK, from whom I have received outstanding assistance and service. They will be fitted this year.

Thank you. I just needed a second opinion. In the good old days water pumps lasted the life of the engine!

I have recently purchased my first Citroen, a C5 2.2L Hdi auto. It is nearly due for a cambelt, but can anyone advise the odds of it needing a new waterpump at 85,000. I need to prepare in advance because I'm in NZ but will be sourcing the parts from UK.
