Would you think your car would not be covered if it broke down 100 miles later?
Yep and an nice £500 bill for two new injectors
No more citroens for me then
-
My 1.4 16v doing the same some garages will not touch them oddly as they seem to think that they may have to strip the head off and drill the injectors out
yet I phoned perrys in MK and they said about £100 for one

Mine went on my c3 hdi two years ago full service history etc citroen replaced parts free of charge they know there is an issue why didnt they recall all of them quiet shocking really

You can you will need a modulator connection so you can still use the controls on the stalk end of window washers of the streo control depends on what mk of c3 you have Have put a pioneer unit in my c5

Hey!
Just wondering, would it be possible to swap out a 1.4HDi C3 engine for a VTR C2 engine? Just general pointers would be great.
Cheers
In a word it is possible but you would need to change alot of the electrics sensors etc there are alot of differences between the 1.4 8v and 16v 1.4 hdi you may find that the vtr has a smilier engine to yours Im pretty sure the c2 1.4 hdi was only the 8v unit and that the latter vts had a 1.6 16v as per the mk1 c3 face lift

Hi,
Having just become a C3 owner, 2006 1.4 HDI 70 Desire, thought that I would introduce myself!!
That done I just have a quick question,
Have they deleted the Temperature Gauge from the car? I am not able to see any and did not notice before buying the car?
Only done just over 200 miles so far, but the car seems to perform very well for a 1.4 diesel...
Should be on the left had side of the speedo little yellow blobs left is temp right is fuel
-
I had one vanish £27 at a citroen dealer  not so cheap
-
H7 on c3 but make sure you put the cover back properly when you finish unless you are good with a hair dryer removing the headlight is a pain as there is one bolt under the wing best bet is to replace bulb with the use of a small mirror then once the bulb is replaced spray a little wd40 around the rubber seal then put the cover back

Hi I have just replaced the head unit in our C3 with a new Sony mex-bt3800.
However, when the ignition is turned off, every 20 seconds or so a "click" comes from the fuses and "economy mode" flashes up on the dash - even when the stereo is switched off. The unit also loses station presets after this.
I have read I need an adapter - is this true, and where can I get one?
EDIT: It also caused the remote central locking to not work, so I have refitted the original stereo and everything works as it should again.
Is this the sort of thing I need?
Thanks for your help.
Yes you do check what reg it is first as there is two adaptors for the c3 as with the C5 get one that works the remote as well this stops all the agro with the cars cpu

My Cigarette Lighter is not working any idea which fuse it maybe as its not mentioned in the cars hand book
-
Had the same clonking noise on mine radius arm bearing had gone and a nice £350 bill to boot
Best way of testing is to put it on high suspension setting then drop it onto to low then back up to normal if its still making the same creaking grinding noise you know what it is :o

Hi did the fronts on My normal c3 the other week
A few recommendations firstly if you are reading out of the Haynes manual even if you clamp the brake line before you start I would still bleed the brakes after fitting new pads to be on the safe side.
Very easy to do just jack up car remove both wheels push pads in a little to move piston back remove bottom bolt pads and shims should come out easy enough then with a self bleed kit undo the nipple and push the brake piston back in but not the whole way just before do the nipple up again then do this .
I put a little copper grease on the back of the new pads before fitting then its just a case of putting it all back together easy job
Do the other side then bleed any air out of system and off you go
If you intend replacing your discs a word of warning decide the day before if they need replacing or not as the screws that hold the discs in place can get rusty and are best left over night soking in WD40

Having an isue with my headlights having a mind of there own Ie when braking on they come indicate left on they come (some times) realy odd any ideas (mot due on the 18th) by the way its a lx model so no auto lights
Guest what yep Sh**** comms 2000 AND £216 plus fitting ;) Why did Citroen and Pug fit this crap system to there cars.
Indicator arm for a normal car = £30 odd not the best part of £300 :)
-
Yes. Do you have the owner's manual?
If so, it will tell you how to disable the feature that turns the lights on and off automatically.
If not, then please post the exact model and year of C5 that you have so someone can tell you how to turn this feature off or send you a scan of the relevant page in the manual.
It sounds like the light sensor is not working properly. The cheapest fix for this is to go to manual lights only.
Problem is I do not think my car has auto lights its only a humble lx this headlights only come on when I indercate ocasionaly
-
