  1. Hi, anyone else feeling that the tyre inflation kit instead of proper or even pacesaver wheels is a retrograde safety issue? We're just taking delivery of an Exclusive Picasso 2.0 petrol which has the pneumatic rear suspension. We are exchanging our Scenic which has full sized spare internally, not the flimsy cradle underneath as on my old Xsara Picasso. We found that we have a dinky modubox, not as good as the Picasso's and then were shown the tyre inflation kit as a wonder of wonders. Whilst I am happy overall, I'd rather have had a spacesaver in a cover instead of the shopping trolley. You have no other tyre so if you have even a small puncture which is repairable if you fitted the spare, due to using the inflation kit the tyre is unusable. Not only that but obviously you need to buy a replacement inflation kit before you have another puncture!! Nice little earner Citroen!!! And then they try to sell you tyre insurance (max 2 tyres per year for 2 years). If Citroen can't find a way to instal a spare tyre, surely the additional costs should be borne by Citroen as a mark of their failure. Surely it's a conservation issue as Citroen are adding otherwise usable tyres to the piles of old tyres. Anyone want to comment? Is Citroen big enough to accept that a shopping bag is a woeful substitute for a spare tyre. Due to the pneumatic suspension, they cannot even fit a cage underneath, which needs a security lock as thieves can easily 'pop' the catch and make off with your brand new spare!!! Over to you
