Hi Colin Thanx again for your time - the earth wire does sound like the issue, thanx for your detective work! I am travelling in it for xmas so I am not too keen to start taking the dash apart just yet!!! Hi Colin Thanks for taking the time to post! I must admit my initial thought was an earth issue and a few other people have said the same also; I must admit I have not really spent a lot of time lookng for it (where do you even begin!!!) I just know I could lose hours trying to find it! Still now this seems to be the main opinion so that is where I will focus my efforts! Thanx again!

LOL! I know it sounds like some sort of clownmobile - how on earth the wipers affect the rpm needle is beyond me!! Other than these dodgy electrics it is an awesome car for driving up and down the m'ways, goes great and is really econimical (I just need a big flower on the front that squirts water!!! :D and it will be complete!

Hello, hope somebody can help me please, I have a P plate 1.9 TD and am having major issues with the electrics! Mainly the RPM needle moves in time with the windscreen wipers, the horn also makes the RPM needle jump, the radio started changing volume as I turned corners and now wont go above a certain volume and the windscreen washer does not work. Finally last week the dashlights started to dim in time with the wipers (as well as the rpm counter) and then they blew their fuse. Is there a quick fix for all of this, I think they are all related but haven't a clue where to start? Thanks in advance for any info!
