Does anyone know of a fix yet? To add to the list. We bought a second hand c8 hdi 03 reg in july 05 with 24k on the clock. Started having problems soon after but very irregular/intermittent. Have already had several trips to the garage where the computer/diagnostics always says there is nothing wrong. I want to take the car in when the problem is occuring but they can never fit me in and by the time they get to see the car the problem has gone away. I am still working on the garage and hopefully next time it happens they might take it. There is no engine fault indication probably as the computer reckons there is nothing wrong. A guy at the garage explained to me that the computer checks the emisions and makes adjustments accordingly. The computer looks back over X amount of time of the previous driving. We have found that the problem appears to occur when the car has been used on short trips of a few miles over a week or two. After taking the car on a long motorway journey the problem will go away, for a short time. We have had an anti-pollution fault on the LCD display, but some flow valve failed around the same time and we have had no anti-pollute warning since. The low/cyclic revs still continues. If you try and maintan revs of 2000, the car revs itself between 1000 and 2000. Also you put your foot down at the roundabout or traffic lights, the car occasionally stalls as the revs drop, very dangerous. Will post more info as we find it, however the car is out of manufacturers warrant in July and my wife wants to get rid of the car if it is not fixed by then.
