  1. I have a C3 and wanted to have MP3 and/or iPod possibilities, none of which are possible in the standard sound system. I went to Halfords and had a Sony unit fitted. All seemed fine, I made some sound settings and tuned some radio stations. The next time I came back to the car I was unable to open it without using the key, central locking was not working..... interesting I thought, also notices the Sony had defaulted to factory settings, all my EQ and radio settings all gone. I took it to the local Citroen dealer who announced the original stereo would have to be refitted and decoded!!!!! They did that at a £40 cost and off I trotted, did all the settings. Well arrived back at the car to find it was the same as before, no central locking and all the settings back to default, so back to the Citroen dealer who informed me that only a certain number of systems would work, although they had no idea which systems might or might not work. I gave in at that point and had the original system put back in. A couple of weeks later I found out that as the in car system had the possibility of a CD changer, it is possible to buy a small box and cable that attaches to an iPod and that is fed into the CD changer input, fools the system into thinking a CD changer is attached, works great and I can still use the controls on the steering wheel That might be a solution for you, unless you are looking for a more powerful sub bass world with a boot full of amps
