My wife has a 2003 2.2 C5 with climate control and has the same problem as Malcolm all the fuses ok and no blower, contacted the main dealer today to order the module no 6441L2 and was told that he sells about 2 to 3 a month so this is obviously a recognised problem within the dealer network. Ordered mine today hope to have it next week, thanks to Malcolm for your help :)

The wifes 2.2hdi has an oil leak from the top of the engine, when I serviced it a couple of months back I noticed when I took off the engine cover there was a lot of oil lying on the inlet manifold. There are also annoyingly lots of little drips on the driveway, has anyone else had this problem or heard of 2.2 leaks, I suspect it is coming from the rocker cover gasket but I am looking for advice prior to changing it. :D

Thanks kfk its the wifes car that is used mainly in town for the school run so 99% of all runs are short were the engine never truely warms up, you diagnosous was spot on, the dash board has been lit up this last two days fuel additive low, unblock diesel filter, anti pollution problem, the asr/esp also quit, the engine was way down on power it would not rev over 3500rpm and the engine light was on. I drove it for 10 miles in 4th gear at 2500rpm turned around still no difference drove for 4 miles in 2nd gear at 4000 rpm still no difference, stopped switched off the engine and when I restarted 15 minutes later all faults were cleared and the car ran as per normal. I assume that the exhaust particulate filter was clogged promting the ecu to half the power to the engine in case of damage, this reduction in power must have effected the esp/asr? The long drive at full operating temperture must have cleared the filter. Anyways alls well now thanks for the advice if only all faults were this easily cured. :lol:

I have a 2.2 HDi C5 and at present i am recieving a message on the display screen telling me to 'unblock diesel filter.' anyone any idears??

With my message I checked the additive tank and it was completely empty, I put in 2 litres which I know is not enough to fill it but it will do for now and the message is still on. After talking to the main dealer mechanic he told me it has to be reset via the diagnostic tool. As the car is new to us and only has one key I will wait until I have a new key (ebay) and have them reset the service light/fuel additive warning and marry in the new key. Its not hard to check the additive level, I sent photos to one of the moderators who will hopefully post for use of others.

The main diesel tank can be accessed from the inside of the car, however you can only refill the diesel additive from underneath the vehicle the tank is located on the nearside hext to the main fuel tank, firstly drain the tank and then refill, the refill kit comes with an empty bottle to allow you to do this. If you fill the additive straight into the main tank it will almost certainly be the most expensive fill up you will ever have had and the diesel additive tank will still be low.

Hi just bought a 2.2sx with 76k for little money (second citroen) seems to have the usual problem of needing diesel additive, I only have one key and was thinking of buying a secondhand key of ebay can this be coded to my new car, also the drivers side wing mirror is not demisting when the rear demister is switched on but the left is?any advice would be appreciated. By the way good site just needs more posts of an informative nature.
