  1. Thanks for the reply. The model is C4 Picasso, 2006, with the Navidrive Instrument Panel, Multifunction Screen DT. I thought the Central Locking button on the dashboard simply locked ALL doors when pressed and held in. That is not the case here, as when the kids try to open the tailgate, and fail, they open one of the rear passenger doors, then they can open the tailgate. I will check the menu/configurations buttons, and see if that is the problem. Cheers Rock
  2. My wife normally picks up the kids from school, but recently I have taken over this role. I noticed for the first time that if I pull up outside their school and the kids try to open the tailgate to put in their bags, they cannot, as the tailgate is locked, and only when I open the driver's door (or any door) will the tailgate unlock and it can be opened. Any ideas why this is happening? Could it be that not having the handbreak on causes this, or must the car be in park/neutral, or what? Is there a setting or switch to control this behaviour? I cannot find anything in the user manual that covers this. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the replies. I was not so worried about the MOT (which is not acceptable anyway for getting a Mutual Recognition Certificate from the Vehicle Certification Agency). What they need is the Certificate of Conformity (which I have), and a garage invoice and receipts to show that the headlights, speedo, and rear fog-light are all UK compliant. I have now found their Application form, with the Guidance Notes: http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_071776.pdf Interestingly, they say that 'Stickers, beam benders / deflectors are NOT acceptable. Headlights must be either replaced, or be adjustable to dip to the left, or be original flat-beam headlights (whatever that is). Cheers Rock
  4. Hi, I have driven my German C4 Picasso (2007) back to the UK and am about to arrange for it to be MOTed and made UK road legal. What will the 'road legal' part involve? I realise the headlights will have to be seen to, but does this involve a complete replacement, or the fitting of a lens kit or something? Anything else need changing (possibly the rear fog light??) Fortunately the speedo and odomoter can be changed from KPH to MPH in the international settings easily. Any advice gratefully received. Cheers Rock
  5. OK, got the CD player out (it is a Magneti Marelli RT3-N3-09) and the first problem is that the covers are held in place with security screws. They are not the usual Torx screws either, these have a 5 pointed star shape with a centre pin. Looking at Torx kits on the web I cannot see this particular variety. Any advice?
  6. By that do you mean remove it from its housing using those special pull tools but do not disconnect the power plug, as I thought disconnecting the power would need a Dealer reactivation. Cheers Rock
  7. Hi, I have a C4 Picasso and the Radio/CD/MP3 player installed is Citroen specific, ie it came as part of the entertainment/navigation package and has a Citroen button on it, and no brand name (that I can see). I inserted a CD into the player, forgetting that there was already a CD in there, and it happily accepted the second CD. However, I cannot now eject the CDs, but the first one continues to play OK. Does anyone have any idea how the CDs can be ejected? Does anyone know who the manufacturer of these players is? For info, the CDs were MP3s created at home. Cheers Rock
