Thanks John. Luckily my car is still within the 3 years manufacturers Warranty, so my dealer fixed it for no charge to me. Good news. I would be interested to know if you can update the maps in the satnav. I guess I should really read the manual. The maps are held on an SD card which slots in the dashboard. I really must backup the SD card at some point too.

Hi All, Just joined this forum. I have a 2010 C5 3.0HDi V6 Exclusive. I bought it with 9000 miles on in November 2012. I use the car for work, and it's now showing around 24k miles. The car has had a small problem with the sat nav display which got corrupted and then starting thinking it was a Peugeot! Also the car has 19" wheels - they look great, however tyres are approx £200 per corner, the fronts only last 15k miles, and I've already damaged 2 alloys by not avoiding potholes. Ouch! Nick
