  1. Hi Navic. £80 all in mate. Maybe shop around for a better deal.
  2. Hi, I wonder if that's got to do with the gear linkage. I spoke to a Citroen mechanic, and was told this is a common fault on C3's (mine included). I've ordered up the gearchange housing and cables, as they come togeher, and will attempt to change the unit this weekend. I'll let you know the outcome. Jack.
  3. Hi Navic. I had my driveshaft seal replaced recently (off side). Apparently it was caused by the near side wheel striking the kerb, pushing the n/s driveshaft through, popping the o/s seal out. As I'm a driving instructor, it's all too common for me. Cheers, Jack.
  4. Hi Jim, I'm in the process of changing the gear linkage in my C3- well, I'm starting on Saturday! I've messed about with the lever, and, by lifting and turning anti-clockwise, off she came! Jack.
  5. My C3 1.4 HDI Exclusive is, I think, about to lose me all my pupils (i'm a driving instructor), as the gearchange is doing their (and my) heads in. Maybe 25% of the gearchanges will jam, like trying to go into 1st at too high a speed. The worst culprits being 1, 2 and 3. If I turn off the engine mid-change, it will sometimes drop in, although the gears can also be difficult when the engine's off, so probably not a clutch issue. A recent new fault is coming out of 5th- the gear will get very vague, and not return to neutral- very strange. Car's done 75K - new clutch 4k ago (no problems until around 750 miles ago). I've read on this excellent forum a plastic part in the linkage might be an issue??? Local garage flummuxed, bankruptsy beckons... HELP!!!
