  1. HI STEVE IM HAVING EXACTLY THE SAME NIGHTMARE WITH THE SAME CAR Have you managed to solve yours ????
  2. BACK TO SQUARE ONE !!!! The reason I had said egr valve is because citroen suggested it they said if valve stuck open car will not start ! Unfortunately the car is still developing the same symptoms :(( Sometime for no apparent reasons but random , it won't start , or will take long time to start. Also randomly the car will kangaroo as if fuel supply was starving from rail , again , no engine light on dash :(( will kangaroo for a while , from ten min to half a day , then back to normal !!!!i don't know what else to do ???????????????????????? My friend who is a good mechanic suggested one injector staying open and fuel pressure dropping . Surely the car would smoke and rattle , I do not get any of that although when the car is kangorooing I can smell non burned fumes , my other friend also a mechanic suggested tthe rail fuel switch or tank breather , again , shouldn't the car smoke like hell , He say fuel switch , as the circuit empties overnight and car will take long time to start !!! ANY IDEAS FELLAS ????
  3. Hi guys I have managed to solve this problem too !!! EGR valve !!!!!! For some reasons it wasn't giving any fault codes !
  4. Hi paul Yes that was my post , the water ingress was caused by a blockage in the aircon drain And according to citroen the airbag module was flooded and caused the no starting However this is a diff problem Car was fixed , while driving started surging , loosing power then once parked , it wouldn't start . Although this morning it started it still drives really bad
  5. Hi guys Never ending problems with my c8 After spending 1300 £ at the citroen stealer now the car will not start The car has had a new starter motor new airbag module new dozer valve and wiring sorted Collected the car and was ok for two weeks Then the car started to surge as if it was running out of fuel , after stopping in my driveway the car would not start :( I v tried the following unplug airflow sensor , new filters where fitted a month ago , Since I have bought the car I had the occasional surge , but when plugged in the diagnostics never got errors Only once said rail pressure sensor but when they check the parameters it was reading fine !!! Now I'm panicking it might be an injector stuck Can anyone help ???
  6. Hi guys Few weeks on I have solved the problem Water ingress was due to a clogged air con drain !!!!! Wtf !!! Unfortunately water got to the airbag module in the centre of the car between front seats And that triggered all sort of problems with the BSA unit immobilizer etc I hope this can help someone in the future ! I went for a new module from citroen but I guess you can use a second hand one and pair it to the BSA ecu etc etc
  7. Hi again Thank. You very much for your reply guys ! I v also managed to chat to a citroen mechanic who has backed up more or less what you are suggesting So today in have removed front seats , carpet and half of the dash. Water was literally paddled all over the floor , I have opened the centre floor bay where the airbag module is stored and that was only humid thanks god ! Ithe mechanic suggest the ingress is either windscreen or aircon drain disconnected . Couldn't see any apparent leak ! However , looking at all the wiring that runs on the floor , although is wet I can't see any connectors , that could be effected by the water. The bsi is really high up so can't really be effected by that either However to my horror , I have noticed wires have been cut and rejoined and some cut off completely and one of the curtains airbag connections has a little module attached and taped , i imagine the previous owner has fiddled with the wiring for god knows what reasons The reassuring thing is that it seems sort of professionally done ( heat shrink selves used etc ) I'm hoping that this hasn't interfered with the bsi I think I need a magician or an exorcist to fix this , citroen wouldn't touch it and mechanics say citroen c 8 are a nightmare Can anyone help? The wires that have ben cut off and cut and rejoined seemed to be all airbag related (orange orange and )
  8. Hi Jhon Thanks for the reply ! I can't start the car to check the voltage but alternator was def working when I got back from Ireland Was a12 hour journey faultless !! I'm hoping to find where the bsi is located and check for water damage , I wouldn't know where to send it for repair Also I fitted a new bosh battery with 90 amp instead of the old with75 Is really driving me insane !!!
  9. Dear citroen frineds. I have a c8 2.2 hdi 2003 with a problem that is driving me insane !,, During a long journey thru torrential rain to Ireland the car started to develop faults No indicators , wipers only worked on automatic Radio controls on the wheel not working etc.mafter stopping in co mayo , the car wouldn't start and message immobilizer fault appeared! Then economy mode I did the usual tricks ( unplug the battery Deadlock and unlock the car with the key on the drivers door lock as the buttons on the fob didn't respond either ) and after awhile I got it started .all this faults made me think of the alternator not charging properly , but after fitting new battery and checking alternator I was left with the bsi at fault ! I noticed both foot wells where soaking wet .thanks to the good weather that dried up the car , I v managed to bring it back to the uk with a trouble free drive . Now I'm back to square one , car will not start and message economy mode appears. Does anyone know the exact location of the BSI SO TO AVOID DISMANTLING THE WHOLE DASH :( Any known common leaks that could cause this to fail And can I replace the bsi with another from scrappy ??? I love my c8 and would like to solve this problem Thank you for looking at my thread Kindest regards to all
  10. Hi I have a citroen c8 2.2 16 v Recently the car has turned gutless , literally powerless until the turbo kicks in Once the turbo kicks in then drives fine However most of the times , specially with cold engine will straggle to set off in first gear let alone second I have had it plugged in into a diagnostic machine and the only errors are break pedal switch and fuel tank filler cap sensor According to the mechanic this two could effect the performance and be the cause of my problem , I personally think is a lot of rubbishðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Can anyone confirm or dismiss this theory ?? I have unplugged the air mass sensor to see if it was the cause , but when i did it was even worst and the turbo didnt kick in at all Any ideas ????
  11. Posted 08 September 2013 - 12:59 PM Hi , i have bought a citroen c8 2,0 hdi 2003 With numerous faults , windows , airbag light , etc The windows all operate perfectly exept. I v disconnected the battery , and ricconected it again , but is still the same Could be the wiring by the doirs ?? The motor ? When i disconnected the battery i v tried o reset the antipinch device But didnt work âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡

  13. Thank you moderator Your replies are very knowledgeable and easy to follow :)) When i turn the AC ON everything reacts as it should !pipes , one hot one cold. , compressor engages etc . The actuator near the pedals , moves , etc however , still not cold air :( , i have disconnected the battery and performed the reset, but still not joy ! What puzzles me is the following If for instance , the actuator is working , but the valve inside is snapped ( as known to happen due to cheap plastic used by citroen) Why , when i increase the temperature or indeed decrease it , it changes ok from room to very warm I guess i will take dash out and see Also near the actuator , under the dash , i can see an aluminium rad , is this suppose to get cold ??? Because it doesnt !!!:( Thanks again
  14. The flap under the dash moves and get hot hair when encrease temp However when i turn to 14 it gets less hot !:(((
  15. Hi i have forgotten to mention The clutch in the compressor ingages with a clunk Everything suggest the system is ok However still no cold air :((( HELP PLEASE âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡â˜â˜â˜â˜
  16. Hi It was regassed 2 days ago I set temp to 14 * fan on full blast but nothing happens
