last year the bump stops cost me £20 from citroen and rear swinging arm bearing kit cost about £50 each side

try disconnecting car battery for a minute then reconnect sometimes solves proplems. oh make sure you have keys out of car when disconnecting battery and reconecting

bought new "trailing arm bearing kit" got my mechanic mate (p.r motors ) to fit one side and banging stopped just got to do other side next week best £40 plus vat each side MAGIC CARPET RIDE AGAIN :D

all is ok found out i was being robbed was sold spheres as new. turns out they were second hand from pleiades .ebay for you

similar thing happened to i just disconnected battery for a few mins and it reset itself and all woorked again

i think its the key thats the problem could try tape key to new 1 see if it picks up on engine emobiliser

maybe drive shaft or drive shaft rubber boot come off making joint dry

hi ive got a 2001 2litre hdi hatch for 2 years now ive had this metalic clunknig sound comes mainly from passenger side rear . had the car up on a lift but cant see any visible signs of what may be causing it. have empty boot & taken spare tyre out but its very elusive any ideas . not so bad when loaded with shopping .

TRY A PRESSURE TEST ON COOLANT SYSTEM MAYBE RAD IS LEAKING .SOMETIMES NOT ALWAYS NOTICEABLE WHEN ENGINE RUNNINNG

ive got the 2001 model c5 and i had problem from 5th to 4th it kept trying to in to reverse . took it back to citroen (under warranty) sort of fixed it .said they adjusted cables lol month later it jammed in 3rd gear .citroen transported it back and said gear linkage had broke , they fixed it in 2 days and alls well ;)

MY C5 51 REG DOES THE SAME CLANKING SOUND I THIN ITS THE RUBBER SUSPENSION STOP IT LOOKES LIKE TOP OF A ROUND BANISTER POST MINES WORN DOWN SO I THINK SUSPENSION ARM TRAVELING TO FAR MAKING A METALIC /CLANKING SOUND WILL TRY AND GET NEW ONES

you dont need to undo bleed nipples just take top off brake filler and wind back

try using a bottle of diesel treatment in the tank -
cheap brake pads thats why u got the noise

ive got a c5 and mine was rubbing to and it turned out to be the brake caliper
