Bit of blue tack on the end of the dipstick might recover the end. Otherwise just remove the dipstck tube, knock out the bit and replace tube.

Hi, we have just got a 2002 1.4 C3 SX and that has the same problem, any chance someone could take a quick photo of a good dipstick end, measure the dipstick (overall and distance from the end to the low level and high level marks) and post the results along with the pic on here please. That way I can just make a new end and braze it on. No more plastic bits! Many thanks.
