the cars is at 104 000 thousand miles , ive run round for last couple of days to see it would get better and it hasnt really , if i drive under 2000 revs the car will judder or die out then come back , if its above 2000 miles i dont seem to have that problem, looking like i will be going to citreon in the new year, i will say though , when we did the forced regeneration , the fault codes were present before the test ,after no fault codes were present so the cars ecu cleared the fault codes ,

well another update for you, i have been today to my familys car garage , we put it on the engine management system, we forced regeneration of the dpf , n it takes a while to complete ,mechanic took car for a short, run camr back and all is okay,i went home , and left the car for a couple of hours,took my m8 home no worries, on way back home the diesal filter light came on no engine management came on , the codes that i posted last nite came again , b4 the run ,, got home on way seemed to loose power than loose got homel and hasnt movedsince really, any help would be very grateful tanks

hiya mate thanks for the reply 1stly, pressure sensor has been changed and aftermarket dpf filter fitted, i have had it in the garage today to do the seal at the top of the downpipe was a right mess sealing wise so i was informed ,the car feels alot smoother,just before i got home it started to die abit unless i booted it ,i am thinking at the moment it needs a really good run whicj im gunna do later , yesterday i did 50 miles, including up and down the motorway 25miles doing that, 4th gear , ran round town for a while and parked up for about an hour and half , took my mate home no probs on way back down the by-pass i opened it up and the bloody unblock diesal filter warning came on then the engine managment , limp -mode, parked up at home ,took round the block this morning all fine ,not really driven it today so later will tell planning on doing around half hour on mway ,just wondering were the dpf splits there is a little, part is that aslo the dpf or the cat i will include the pic only difference is my pipe runs all the way to the manifild , and that part hasnt been changed i have also put the link in were the full description is , stuck now really what else to do ,thanks http://wbsatwestmount.blogspot.co.uk/2007/09/diy-fix-blocked-particulate-filter.html

just had mine done today , so easy .jack the car up drop the tank completley easier access buy a kit with fluid n fill it up put back on n hey presto .just wish the rest of my car wasnt giving me so much hassle

hiya all ,lost all my pc files and the site too , well heres an update for yous with the c8 2005 2.0 hdi , well from my last post i have now had the dpf changed , prior to this the unblock diesal light came on then limp mode , only just noticed that when that happens if you touch the exhaust pipe at the back of the car its RED HOT which burns you when you touch it ,something not healthy there , so anyway changed the dpf , new diesal filter , wynns diesal clean-up straight into the filter housing , started car lasted 10 mins and back to limp mode , has the fault codes reset only , and they cleared , took car out again was fine for about 10- 15mins as soon as i hit 70mph, unblock diesal filter, then limp mode , drained excess water from diesal filter from underneatch the filter tried again , got on open road for 3 or 4 miles foot down and back again ,no faults , another 2 miles speed at 30mph ,unblock diesal filter , limp mode again , so today my mechanic has filled up the additve chamber , and we have replaced the fuel regulator switch , took back to garage to clear codes , woudnt clear the particulate one , advised to get on mway wen limp mode has gone off , and open it up , so i went to see a citreon specialist garage told me to come back tommorow, gets in my car on unblock diesal filter nor limp mode out of car 10 mins max , drove round city for 5 miles , decided to put on mway did 12miles in 4th gear to open it up and back down the mway same again 4the gear all way to redline and down then back up to a steady speed , gets home not unblock diesal filter nor limp mode came on , strange , went to my mechanics house he cleared codes , codes found F1447 PARTICULATE FILTER, PO101 AIR MASS SENSOR CIRCUIT AS WELL AS C1136 STEERING ANGLE SENSOR SIGNAL only codes on so we reset codes and all clear , touched rear exhaust pipe cool as a cucumber, "happy days" beed booting it here n there tonite were i can powers there and better fuel efficeny , took my m8 home and on way back on dualcarriageway 4th gear up to 70mph, unblock diesal filter limp mode AGAin , checked back pipe again RED HOT , desperatly need help on this 1 ive run outta money 400 pound later,the only other thing i have found is ther is a leak to the exhaust at the manifold, you can see the black carbon on exhaust tomoz i will get it re sealed , now can anybody help me more on this , it would be much appreciated thanks

ye i am gunna change it 170 all in ,just got a feeling its not that only hgad that come up twice in two years yet the fault at the moment isnt showing no error codes on the car my m8 hopefully will plug it in is weekend see what that brings up ,thanks foryour response

i have had my c8 for nearly 2 years now, not really had any problems with it majorly, at the moment its giving me a few probs and im stuck in what to do, 1st if i go on motorway i will get the engine management light on if i drive it too hard but does usually go off after its sat for a while, 2ndly i had the unblock dpf filter a couple of times and bout cleaner for this which did help , now at the moment and it keeps happening is the car keeps dying and ive noticed it more under 2000 revs, if i put me foot down doesnt seem to do it ,dies on approach to traffic lights rounabouts etc etc, this has been day 3 now the longest it has done it for , cant get my head round it , i was looking at changing the air flow sensor ,but from reading other posts on sites thats doesnt seem to cure the problem , i could even get in the car tomoz and it be fine for a while , , really dont know what to do , any help would be fantastic .

hi all, im daz ,registered on here coz i need abita help with the c8, im 40 nearly, n have an 05 plate 2.0hdi citreon c8 im pretty mechanically sound in otherwards not thick and do attemp jobs if i can do them .
