  1. Hi everyone, I just hoping for some advice. I am going to push out and buy the Lexia equipment for my 2009 C5, I am going to refill the PTF Fluid and need the equipment to re set the computer. But before I spend out can anyone tell me the best place to buy Lexia from, I've been looking on EBAY but not sure if these units are any good? hopefully you guys will be able to tell me the best place to get one from, I plan on keeping the car for a few years to come so thing it will be a good idea to get some diagnostics, I do most of the maintenance myself so it cant hurt... Any idea's guys? Nigel :)

  4. Hello everyone im really sorry if this has been repeated over and over, but my 2009 C5 2.0 HDI has had its DPF low fluid warning come on today, Id just like some advice from you guys on how easy it is to refill myself, I know you can buy the refill kits online and also know their could be several different kinds of additive which cant be mixed. Im working on a bit of a budget as Christmas approaches so I would be so grateful if anyone can give me a step by step guide or some help and advice on how to perform this procedure and tell me how much fluid to put in the tank, I did have a look for the tank but couldn't see much underneath, im guessing that the low fluid warning will have to be reset by plugging into a LEXIA diag tool? any help guys would be very much appreciated.. Many thanks Nigel
  5. Thanks for the input guys, I will admit the droplinks were not the best ones around, from ebay I believe, I will try the bounce test tomorrow and see how it looks, cant see any leaks from the shocks but will have a closer look and report back.. Nigel
  6. Hello everyone, i'm hoping to get some advise from you guys, I have a 2009 c5 x7 2.0hdi vtr+nav, its a great car me and my wife love it.Its been fault free for the past couple of years or so but recently I have noticed when driving over bumpy roads, pot holes, speed bumps etc instead of gliding over them like were used too, its seems like it crashing over them especially from the front drivers side wheel its lost its floating feeling from that side It had an M.O.T a couple of months ago with no advisories, the problem was going on before the mot so I assumed if their was something wrong they would of picked it up but nothing. I had the wheels off at the front, jacked it up but couldn't see anything obvious, had new drop links on it last year so defiantly not that, it dosent knock but feels very hard when absorbing the bumps in the road but only on the front right side. I'm on a tight budget so if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful. Many thanks Nigel.

  9. Hi all its good to be here. I have a small problem, I want to remove my egr valve to give it a good clean as im getting a little hesitation when accelerating from low rpm. I've tried spraying several cans of cleaner directly into the egr valve seems ok for a few days then the symptoms re appear. So I want to take it completely off for a thorough cleaning. Has anyone got a step by step guide on how to remove this bloody thing iv previously removed all the bolts and fixing that I believed were holding it on but it will not move at all, I don't want to force it am I missing something here? Its really pissing me off now this should be a straight forward job im not a bad diy mechanic and I've done a few egr valves before with no trouble but this has got me stumped any help please guys would be very grateful. many thanks nigel
