  1. Hello Paul, Have you checked the turbo itself? If you take the main turbo air pipe off you should be able to feel the turbo spindle. Any play at all means the turbo is shot. There's a fair bit of info on FrenchCarForum about turbos.
  2. Thanks John. I bought the C5 through Frenchcarforum (can I say that here?) which I've also been a member for many years.
  3. Sounds remarkably similar to mine. 08 plate new shape Berlingo 1.6hdi. Lost power a few times. Warning said "Low Oil Pressure". The turbo has blown! Its still got 8 months to run on a 12month parts and labour warranty direct from Citroen and they are refusing to pay! So it sits in the dealers in pieces. Citizens Advice on Monday and possible Court claim.
  4. Hello, I used to be a member of the owners club many years ago before the days of computers and internet! I've owned 2 x Bx, 2 x Cx, 3 x Ds, 1 x Xm and 1 x Berlingo. Hopefully soon to become the owner of a MkI C5. I may still have some old copies of the Citroenian locked away somewhere! I've enjoyed all the cars but the latest one, an 08 Berlingo Vtr Hdi has disgraced itself and blown the turbo. It is now the centre of a dispute and is sulking in a main dealers workshop in Birmingham. If they don't get their act together it might be my shortest ownership of a Citroen. Hence my pending ownership of an 01 plate C5 2.0 Hdi next week. Apart from a 1.6 Bx which was sorn for a while my last Citroen was a beautiful 2.5 Xm Vsx with low miles. Unfortunately I listened to the family who were moaning at me to get a "modern" car. It's been all downhill from there. I shall now spend some time getting up to speed on C5 info. :P Dave.
