Guys Thanks for all the feedback but I have got to the bottom of the problem Basically the fuel light is faulty.. I have done 220km with the fuel light on. so for a 60 litre tank I am getting 1120km which works out at 50mpg :)

yeah I have checked break pads and the tyres are spinning freely.

Hi Paul.h it is a manual diesel car owners manual says it should do 55mpg and it has a 60 litre tank. I am presuming this is some kind of a fault in the engine? or oil being used?

Hi. I have just recently purchased a c4 2011 model. my previous c4 which was a 2008 model could do 1200km to the full of the tank roughly 50/55mpg, whereas mt newest model can only do 940km to full of the tank roughly 43mpg. I do a daily round trip commute of 200km daily which is all mototway driiving so the speedometer doesn't drop below 120km/hr which makes it more bizzare. any advise on what the problem could be? The car is second hand and has had only one previous owner. The car currently has 175km on the clock. any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi. I was driving my 2008 C4 the other day when the "STOP" warning appeared on the dash with the following message appearing on the display "engine Temperature to high" I pulled over switched off the engine for 5minutes and proceeded to drive for another 30k not going above 60KM/hr. There was no repeat of stop sign appearing, until I hit the motorway where I exceeded speeds of 80km per hour, for about 5 minutes, then same thing happened again with the "STOP" symbol lighting up on the dash with the same message.In order to get get home I travelled at the 60km speed for another 20K with no repeat of warning sign appearing. Has this happened to anybody else? Coolant was low in car, this has since been topped up. Would this be linked to temperature sensors?

Had the same problem when I bought my C4 in march of last year. brought it to my nearest dealer who ordered a new fob and programmed it in. alternatively you could take fob apart and see if it still works?? a new mould of the fob key could be bought online. any other questions give me a shout.

Hi. My C4 will not start (2008 model) after a heavy night of freezing temperatures ( -6) I tried starting this morning with no joy and later this evening and still no joy. Lights came on and wipers moved once and both occasions I have also tried jump starting car twice to no avail( also had an issue here, as to where exactly to connect negative part of jump leads) Car is just sitting in the drive way and I am unsure what move to make next? call local garage or contact insurance to take away? Any advise that could be sent on would be very much appreciated. I last drove the car sunday evening. Thanks

Hi I have recently taken apart my c4 radio in the hope of changing the orange colour that is already there. Does anybody here recommend where I could get some coloured paper online. Also Whilst doing this I seem to have damaged some of the digital display. Anybody have any advise on a solution to this problem, all lights at back of radio are working perfect as shown in picture(eventhough i does not look the case) I have pictures but am unable to upload. any advise here? :rolleyes:

Hi I would like some advise direction tutorial perhaps on changing the dash colours on the front of my Citroen C4, not a fan of the orange colour. Any advise forwarded or websites I could visit would be very much appreciated.

Hi I am looking for help on fitting an undertray for a citroen c4 Cachet. Any direction as to videos I could view or instruction manuals for materials required would be much appreciated. I bought the undertray from mm experrt(Image attached) online and whilst removing the old one I noticed that the fixings were different. This is a DIY job I took upon myself to carry out as I have already carried out a few other jobs on my car. Bar that car is running 100%, I have been driving fords for the 10 years I am driving and I cannot see myself going back. Any help forwarded would be much appreciated. Thanks

I took the key apart, Its the circuit board that is the problem. This is what needs replacing, is it best bring to a citroen dealer, would you have any possible website suggestions that could help me get this solved. Thanks for the reply... :D

Yes it is the black part of the key. Would the new black part not need to be programmed to the car if purchased over ebay? Thanks for the help. Will try the sound proofing with nearest dealer.

Hi I have just bought a Citroen C4 Cachet. There are a few jobs needed on the car and I am looking for some advise/direction . Firstly the unlocking button on the key does not work. Can be very annoying as you have to unlock the car from the passenger side. Secondly the front right driver door has an incredible empty sound when closed. Cleary there is some sort of sound barrier(my opinion) missing from the door. Should any car mecahnic be able to fix this up or would contacting a scrap yard be best option in terms of sourcing whatever sound barrier is required.?
