  1. Hello Everyone A little about myself first. I live in the Yorkshire dales and have owned quiet a few cars over the years. My cars for the last ten years or so have been a Citroen BX, 2 Xantia's a ZX and a Mk1 C5 Estate 2.2l Automatic Executive. Now 6 months ago I was passing our local Skoda garage and there was a 3 year old Skoda Yeti SE on the forecourt. My old C5 was starting to cost big money and the little Yeti looked very pretty and I fell in love or so I thought! So a thousand pounds for the old C5 and a lot more! I was the proud owner of a pale blue automatic 1.2 se DSG Yeti. Drove home with my new little car went like a rocket, beautifully put together. BUT and it is a very big but very uncomfortable the seats are poor no lumbar support what so ever. And very rough riding suspension. So six months on. I am yearning for a return to comfy easy going motoring that as I see it now can only come from a big Citroen! So onto good old Motor trader looking for a C5 Estate about two years old or so. Hopefully a vtr+ or Executive. They do appear quite rare but appear to offer amazing value on the used market. So after all that wittering here are my queries. Is the ride with the the "steel suspension" nearly as good as the hydraulic? Are there any points to look out for in the "new" cars. One of my worries is DPF filters which caused grief with the old C5 do they still use the expensive additive? Any help gratefully received. Anybody want to buy a Yeti? I doubt it on this forum you all know whats good for you. Best Wishes John
