  1. Have just joined the ranks of C5 owners, but have found there should be a separate book for the radio, which isn't there. As there seem to be more buttons than on an accordion, I just wondered whether anyone has a redundant copy, or link to a pdf version ? I think the radio is an RT3 ? (you're welcome to laugh if I've got it wrong). It appears to operate via a coloured screen set above it in the dash binnacle. The car is an 05 facelift. Thanks for any help. Mike.
  2. Never had a day's bother with the hydraulics on the proper Citroen brakes and if you do need to bleed them, nice easy one man job. By contrast, over the years, have had plenty of grief with old fashioned brakes -- weeping cylinders; some are real sods to bleed; subsequent failure of master cylinders after bleeding; duff servos, etc. etc. A real backward step by Citroen, in my opinion --- no doubt driven by the accountants. As a matter of interest, did you wind up doing the head gasket on your Xantia ? I had about three 2.1 XM and it gave out on all of them -- not a fun job. Mike.
  3. Well, after looking endlessly for a properly good replacement Xantia Exclusive Estate, have accepted at least temporary defeat and settled on a 2005 C5 Exclusive Estate, so this looks like the place to be. 2.0 Manual. relatively low miles (89k). I have been amazed how relatively few C5 seem to have leather seats and am probably not alone in being disappointed that they don't have proper brakes. Don't know what to think yet about electric pumping for the suspension. First impression is that the general handling is nowhere near as tight as the Hydractive Xantia. Looking through the handbook, I can''t work out whether it's as good a system or not. Ride-wise, feels more like a non-Hydractive set up. Lots of fun to come, I guess as I get to have a proper poke around it. Mike.
