Thanks for that. I've made sure the carpet is shoved right back... and given the pedal a good jiggle and a bit of silicone spray lube on the linkages in the car... where do I need to be looking for the cable end? Is a job to do from above or do I need to get the axle stands out? Cheers Mart.

Hello all. I'm a new owner of an 03 plate C8 2.2 hdi exclusive. Love the car so far, but one niggle I need to fix quick is that the accelerator pedal is very firm/hard underfoot.... it feels like it's already on the floor. The guy I bought it from said it has always been like that in the 2 years he owned the car and he just got used to it, but I don't want to just get used to it as it makes maintaining a constant speed difficult on the motorway and setting off from junctions a bit hairy. Car has full service history and has been well maintained as far as I can see so I'm hoping this is a simple enough fix, if anyone can offer advice it'll be well appreciated. Mart. East Yorkshire.
