Managed to get help from a local mechanic - we found another nut, at base of manifold, but then had quite a job getting enough clearance for removal of loosened manifold. Had to loosen the actual turbo, to allow clearance of manifold to (I think) pop-off valve. Any way, job now done, and my thanks for all advice given - not easy! (PS. Wonder what the actual tubo is, in terms of manufacturer, model, spec? Is it a 'low pressure' turbo, as used on some PSA variants? )
