  1. Had stuff I couldn't shake off at weekend but hoping for this weekend now
  2. Cheers again bud, I will be looking into this on Saturday and will get back to you. Think it must be wires in door after reading this as well http://www.2carpros.com/questions/all-other-cars-all-other-cars-car-door-central-locking But must admit I do secretly love little faults like this as it gains me more knowledge of civvy motors
  3. Not got a meter bud, but after last nights shift I came across a new symptom of this problem. After scraping the ice off the windscreen I started the engine and drove home via a local shop. As I pulled up I put on my hazards and the interior lights started flashing. Then I got out and locked the door with the drivers key and the central locking sprang to life for the first time. The half a second later it unlocked all the doors again.......... I'm definitely thinking it must be earthing error and or knacked wires (hopefully) in the door now. Unless any of you have any other ideas
  4. Now got a Haynes manual and..................... Even though it mentions the fuses and what does what, none of them are for interior lights or central locking. Don't get me wrong, with a 15yr old motor I will need the manual at some point I have no doubt. lol Now wondering if it could be wires in either of the front doors leading from the locks instead after a lot more googling with ref to the central locking.... Doubt that will affect the interior lights though unless there wires have earthed as well against the scraped cables for central locking. BTW the int lights neither work with door/s open or by turning on at switch.
  5. Cheers for replying Paul I spent a couple of hours googleing fuse positions and all I got was either the later 2001- model or the picasso ones. Both of which have a different fuse box. Key I have does not have the remote part so must be a replacement, but opens all the doors except the boot which opens with a different key. Fuse box is there but with no manual and no printed map on the cover, I'm at a loss to find out which fuse does what. I agree on getting a Haynes manual but obviously would rather get the help on here if anybody has the details. Thank you though bud
  6. Brought this motor cheap yesterday and have a few issues that I am hopeing are fuse related. Only prob is there is no manual or anything on the fuse box to let me know which fuse is for what. Issues are, 1. Interior lights do not work 2. Central locking does not work Any help would be greatfully recieved
  7. Got my first citroen after 21 years of driving yesterday. Its a 1999 (T) Xsara West Coast 1.4 in maroon Great car for the price I paid but as its 15yr old obviously a few probs. Over to the Xsara section I will go....... :D
