  1. thanks i have tried the hanbook method, many times in different ways for example when i go in the menu on the radio i scroll down to where it says automatic headlights deactivated i then press the ok, or the left arrow, or the right arrow or the up, and down arrow but nothing seems to change and it seems stuck on "automatic headlight deactivated" finally cracked it! when i went into the menu on the radio i was looking at the middle icon, then scrolling down to try and change auto healights, WRONG i should have gone in to the third icon(Personalise Function) and choose VEHICLE PARAMETERS then scroll to lighting, and checked the box which says auto lighting. Why do people who put computers in cars not realise that not everyone is computer wiz kids! what has vehicle parameters got to do with lighting, never mind, hope this is of some use to others
  2. by the way the car is a c8 2006 exclusive uto
  3. thanks i have tried the hanbook method, many times in different ways for example when i go in the menu on the radio i scroll down to where it says automatic headlights deactivated i then press the ok, or the left arrow, or the right arrow or the up, and down arrow but nothing seems to change and it seems stuck on "automatic headlight deactivated"
  4. I have somehow managed to deactivate the automatic headlight on, I have gone in to the menu on the radio and scrolled to the section which says Automatic headlights deactivated, can anyone tell me how to ACTIVATE the automatic headlights, as I drive a lot in spain and these work great when going thru tunnels (It is illegal to go through tunnels without headlights on) One i have the automatic headights deactivated highlighted what button do I press, as I tried every button and none seem to return to headlight activated symbol. Is there a trick like engine turned off or engine running when trying to activate. Thanks in anticipation
  5. can i just say the cost of buying of citroen was stupid, also the other option was to remove the old hooks and just put a curtain hook in to the original screw holes
  6. the reason I was looking for a new blind was the two hooks on the blind were snapped, i got a quote from citroen and they said that the blinds come in one piece which cost £205 each! these hooks only cost about 10p to make. I removed the hooks by removing the little cover and gently heating the screw head with a hair dryer, then i got a phillips screwdriver on the screw and gave the screwdriver a few taps with a hammer just as if i was using a impact driver, this released the screw (Its not easy) I then paid £20 on ebay to buy a blind off a scrap car, however I did not fancy stripping the door down to get the blind out, so i removed the hooks off the scrap blind the same way, and just replaced them (dead easy)
  7. am from antequera, forty min north of malaga
  8. HI SPIKE. MY RETRACTABLE BLIND SAW AN UNTIMELY DEATH WHEN IT HAD BECOME UNHOOKED ON ONE END, UNBEKNOWN TO ME, AND WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR IT WAS BENT BEYOND REPAIR. I HAVE SINCE BEEN ON EBAY AND FOUND THE COMPLETE BLIND REPLACEMENT FOR 55.00. HOWEVER BEING A GIRL (MARKS WIFE ) I DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO KEEP THE OLD BLIND PLUS HOOKS ETC IN THE SHED FOR A RAINY DAY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE ONE OF MY HOOKS I WOULD BE HAPPY TO POST ONE ON TO YOU, I THINK HOWEVER I WILL KEEP THE OTHER ONE MYSELF JUST IN CASE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE IF WE EVER GET ROUND TO HAVING THE DAMN BLIND REPLACED!!!!!LIZ hi liz have you still got the hooks for the blind?
  9. priced new £205 for full blind (only needed the clips)
  10. hi darryl dont suppose you can make me two please? (kids)
