  1. Now that my 2008 Berlingo First Multispace has LPG installed, I have noticed that the petrol fuel gauge goes down when I'm using LPG, as if I'm using petrol. Whenever I park on a steep hill, the gauge resets itself and shows the correct fuel level. This is really annoying, anyone know how I can get this sorted? Cheers!
  2. Hi all, I want to add cruise control to my 2008 Berlingo Multispace Desire with the 1.6 petrol engine. I've also got a Chinese Lexia clone, installed Windows XP SP3 in a virtual machine, and did all the updates so I'm now up to v7.82, and the main interface screen clearly connects to my car OK as it can access the VIN automatically and stuff. However if I try either of the Lexia or Scantool buttons in "Selection of the Application" screen, it pops up a screen that looks quite old fasioned, all in French! So I've been using live Google Translate on my mobile phone but am struggling to use Lexia or Scantool. Can someone point me to some user manual and instructions on how to use Lexia or Scantool? Also where is the cruise control option located within Lexia please? Many thanks!
  3. Cheers everyone for your help! I've decided to ask the tyre fitter to check if both Michelins are in servicable condition, and if so, fit them to the rears, and I've ordered a pair of ContiPremiumContact 5 tyres for the front. I'd prefer to get Michelin Energy EV tyres but they're really expensive at £70 each as opposed to £47 each for the ContiPremiumContact 5's.
  4. Hi all, I brought a 2008 Mk1 Citroen Berlingo Multispace 3 weeks ago - it came with 3 Matador tyres, and 1 Michelin tyre - the Michelin has a manufacture date matching the car's build date so I'm confident that it was fitted by the factory. All tyres has plenty of tread - all at least 7mm including the Michelin. The Michelin is on the NSR wheel. The grip from the tyres has been acceptable since I brought it, but now the wet weather has come, I've found the tyres are shockingly terrible in the wet - I was sliding around mini roundabouts and the wheels kept spinning when I tried to accelerate lightly. Due to this, I decided to test heavy braking with no-one around, and braking is a total joke - the ABS was going off like crazy and the car was slowing down far too slowly and I wasn't pushing the brake pedal heavily. So I'm definitely getting rid of the Matador tyres. I've had a look at the spare wheel, and it has a factory fitted Michelin with the same manufacture date. It's completely unused, if on a rusty & battered rim and covered in mud. I'm aware tyres has a recommended lifespan of 7 years regardless of usage so both Michelins are past the best by date. I'm not too bothered about this personally, but I'm concerned how safe doing this really is. I was thinking of my options - I can see 3 options: 1) Swop the spare Michelin with the OSR Matador - but keeping the rims - i.e. take off the Michelin and put it on the OSR rim, and put the Matador on the spare rim. Then junk both the front tyres and fit them with new tyres. Cheapest but least safe. 2) Leave the rear wheels & spare as is, just replace the front tyres with new ones. 3) Replace all 4 tyres, leaving the spare as is. Most expensive but certainly most safest. I'm keen on option 1 but I don't want to sacrifice safety for money. Can anyone advise which option I should go for please? It's a question of balance - but I'm not sure how safe it is to use out of date tyres. Many thanks!
  5. Hi all, I've got a 2008 Berlingo that I'm going to install a CC stalk in - is there anyone in the Bristol area with Lexia willing to enable CC for me for a few beer notes please? Many thanks!
  6. I need a space saver spare wheel for my Berlingo, and found this auction and the PCD figures matches (108x4) - would I be able to use this on my Berlingo? Many thanks!
  7. Quick & dirty answer - if you're referring to the new Berlingo, it's based on the PSA PF2 platform which plenty other cars share - have a look here. For the older Berlingo, it's harder to find info on Wikipedia as it was released in 1996. Good luck Googling!
  8. Hi all, Just brought a second hand Berlingo Multispace Desire with the 1.6 petrol engine yesterday. After driving it back from the garage where I brought it, I'm really liking it, but I'm really desperate for cruise control now! I'd like to try and doing an original retrofit before going down the Conrad Anderson route.... After doing a little bit looking online - not much info but looking under the dashboard, I see that my Berlingo is drive-by-wire and has switches on the clutch & brake pedals - would just buying the cruise control stalk and using something like Lexia work - and if you're not 100% sure, how do I find out for sure? Advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
  9. I'm currently looking for a van for my new business, as I don't have much cash I can't spend much more than £1500 on a van before any extras. Most vans at this price point are usually trashed, looks dreadful and dented to hell. I just discovered the car version is much cheaper and tend to be in a much better condition so I have an insane crazy idea of converting a car to a van, the body shape is the same anyway. I've done some research into the topic - side windows; load floor; interior; legal paperwork, etc - I have a solution for everything apart from the bulkhead. I can buy a steel bulkhead cheaply on eBay, but I'm not certain whether the car version has the same holes as the van to fit the bulkhead? I'm aware I'll have to cut/remove trim to fit, I have no problem with this, but and I'm hoping someone here would know about the fitting holes? I'm not definitely going to do this, I'm aware getting a van is easier than converting a car, but I want to explore all my options. Even if I get a van, I still need to do a lot of work anyway - install bulkhead, shelving, securing rear windows of which converting a car to van will cover these as well. Cheers!
