  1. Hi all , as reported I had a power steering leak and the high and low fluid pipes were replaced by our local garage , the day after there was still fluid leaking from the lower engine on to my drive, the car was returned and after some considerable time checking he realised that the fluid bottle had a low and high mark on the side admittedly the marks are almost invisible and positioned to the back of the bottle facing the rear of the engine compartment. I am being informed by the fitter that the bottle has been over filled (BY HIM) and this has damaged the pipe seals ( THROUGH PRESURE ) on full lock to lock the fluid has been pouring out of the top of the bottle leaking on to the floor , the two new pipe seals have been damage this is due to pressure when the steering is used on full lock to lock apparently the fluid bottle is designed for storage and an expansion tank. fortunately the pipes come under the Garage personal warrantee .
  2. Hi I have today joined your forum, I have a Citroen c5 2009 HDi 2.2 . it drives wonderfully and I've had it three years with only a driver door regulator break down .( repaired myself). three weeks ago the power steering started to leak our local garage identified the problem as the pipes so we changed the at a cost of £482.00 using new pipes from our Citroen dealer, after a couple of hours I noticed fluid on the drive and the bottle half full, I have returned the car to the garage but they are having difficulty finding the lead . Can anyone advise ......I am desperate. Gwyn.
