I have at last sourced the knocking.it was the front n/s droplink.replaced it and heh presto a quiet car again.thanks to Steve for all your suggestions even when I gave you wrong info.thanks all

thanks coastline taxis for your reply,however my c5 is hydroactive and it has rear shocks with spheres attached and short droplinks. the sound is like the shock is loose but I have checked and all appears normal.also I have replaced the offside droplink. can anyone help please

Hi I'm a new member with a mk2 c5 hdi Over small bumps I can hear a knocking noise from the o/a rear I think it is the droplink as it similar to The noise I had with a peaugeot 407 Also I cannot find any illustration to show the location of the link Any hp would be appreciated
