Has anyone come across this issue. My 2010 C5 1.6d emits a grinding noise which seems to be coming through the air vents in the cabin. The grinding only happens on engine startup and stops after a second. Thanks Sean
There should be a check button on the right behind the steering wheel. This tells you the tire pressures (only says OK!) and service interval and any general warnings. I used to get false positives on my BMW Z4 tire pressure sensors which was usually as a result of new tyres or if one had lost some pressure.
It came back! Basically the trim lifted again. Dropped it into my local dealer and he said it was a common issue. Gave me some new clips (49cent) and fitted them for free. So far so good and the whistle has not returned.
Hi, Just got a replacement gear know and gaiter for my 2010 C5. I understand that the gear knob just pulls off, but my question is how to i remove and replace the gaiter? Any help would be great. Thanks, Sean
Hi, I've been plagued by a wind whistling noise now for a few weeks on my 2012 C5 Tourer. I have traced it to the side trim on the windscreen. Looks like it may have been lifted slightly (I suspect during an automatic car wash session). I quick bang with my fist and the wind whistle is no more!
Hi Guys, Just taken delivery of a 2012 C5 Tourer 2l Diesel exclusive. Yesterday I noticed a fluid leak coming from the top of the cap on the tank where the power steering fluid goes in the engine bay. I wiped it up and left it alone. I have subsequently done a few miles and raised and lowered the suspension a few times and there appears to be no more signs of fluid coming out. Could it just have been over filled by the garage? Any advise would be appreciated.
