  1. Again thanks for the response. The car is a 1.6 HDI. Is that good or bad news? Regards, Dave
  2. Thanks for your reply. I will start attacking the Warranty Company! Dave
  3. My 2007 Picasso has 51,00 miles on it and has always been serviced by a main Dealer. Recently as I pulled into our drive there was a "clunk" coming from the drive take off and the pull away was jerky when I tried to move it. I was not sure if it was safe to drive it so took it to the nearest specialist (not the main dealer as it is 13 miles away). They diagnosed the clutch slave cylinder as the problem. They did upgrade the software in the car but it made no difference. I have an aftermarket warranty on the car which was taken out when the Citroen one expired. I intimated a claim as the contract appeared to cover the problem. They wanted a printout of the fault e-mailed to them which apparently is not possible with this diagnostic kit. The garage then ran a test with a piece of kit by Snap on. Which apparently shows that the clutch engagement is all over the place so confirming the original diagnosis. The warranty company want a fault code but apparently, according to the garage there is not one for this condition. So my question is are they right about no fault code? Also it seems that if I have to pay for it a clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder fitted is about £1500. Is that about right. Thanks for looking at my problem.
