  1. Must admit the C4 ride is fantastic..very comfortable..Mine was the showroom car and had been pre reg, although never road used, and like you my mileage is borderline or below. The price however was such that I couldnt miss it tbh...Said Techie was helpful on this point too...advice is to drive it once a month on a motorway or similar at 3000rpm /about 50mph, in 3rd gear, for about 20mins..Ignore the horrible noise it makes apparantly..This allows the dpf to regen properly..Was also advised that doing mileage at high speed, still won`t do the regen, as many people think...so hopefully etc....
  2. Nice one Ciaran, looks good..I`ve just arrived here myself, last week..Got the cousin to yours, the C4..also a diesel..Interesting that you have had problems with supermarket fuel....Before I bought mine I had a good natter with one of the technicians who told me that these engines don`t like that sort of fuel..He recommended branded fuel(with the better additives) and every so often stick £15 of V Power or BP Ultimate in..That they do like...He runs one like yours as well as fixing `em.. Love the colour, some interesting gizmos in the background shot :D All the best
  3. Many thanks JohnDouglas for that info, I`ll have a serious look there..Thanks
  4. Think I might have sorted it..http://www.wheel-size.com/size/citroen/c4/2012/#trim-16-hdi-eudm This site seems to think its a 7jx16 ET19 with 205/55R16`s...just have to find one now
  5. If one were to get a spare rim for the C4 from say a scrapyard, anyone any idea what size rim would be needed for 16inch wheels..thanks?
  6. I`m getting a new C4 diesel tomorrow but I initially went for a 1.2 petrol..I agreed a price and the dealer tried to find me something from stock, but unsuprisingly there doesn`t appear to be any such petrols in the UK at this time, which I`, told is unusual..Like you I got quoted 3 months (ish) for delivery, but no one seemed able to be more specific..Your delay doesn`t suprise me, Skoda have more than their fair share of production delays and massive log jams are common... Best of luck in getting a delivery date, i know its frustrating
  7. Hi all Returning to Citroen after a long absence, I had a Xantia in the 90`s, which did suffer with faults although it was like riding an armchair..1.9 diesel and yes was loved..After some years with Skoda I`ve bought a Citroen C4 and pick it up tomorrow, after getting an excellent deal..Its back to diesel again after a long break with the new blue Hdi this time, so very much looking forward to it..Love the quirky design of the C4 and indeed Citroen`s in general... Got 16inch tyres on it and will ask on the C4 forum exactly what sort of wheel rim I need to use as a spare..so any advice would be very welcome...and thanks Paully
