  1. Hi All Need to replace the driver's side healight on my 2010 C4P - bulb holder is loose/broken, so won't sit in properly.ken I've sourced a replacement unit, and seen the two screws on the top - is it just a case of removing them and jiggling the whole headlight unit out, or is there more to it than that? Tks
  2. Sorted it. My gaiter had crcked around the top near the gear know where it folds over on itself. So I unclipped the gaiter from the centre console and puled it up over the gear knob. You can then see a cable tie which basically holds it in place in a groove. I removed the cable tie, slid it down a couple of centimetres, and refixed it with a new cable tie... voila, the cracks are now in the hidden bit, and the gaiter looks like new, if slightly tighter.
  3. ooh. Thanks. Off to the car park now, since the boss isnlt in...
  4. I tried a bit, but didn't want to damage the chrome surround... my gaiter is cracked and slit round the top, but theres no point in trying to yank the gearknob off if the rest won;t come easliy...
  5. Yes, but how does the gaiter clip into the centre console - how do you get the actual gaiter itself out?
  6. Just to wake this one up... I bought a set of led bulbs to go in, but got one in the driver's side and it was just not bright enough - don;t be fooled by photos at night, these things are designed to be seen during the day, and th bulb is deep at teh back of the unit, so needs to be bright. Anyhow, it's not a T40, it's a T45 you need... I got a set of allen-key type right angle ones. The driver's side is relatively easy to reach in and turn 45 degrees, then jostle the holder out. The passenger side one is much of the same, but tighter. It can be done - take of the plastic cover over the headlamp, disconnect the multi-connector for the headlamp to give yourself some room. Feel for the hole with your hand then try and get the torx in blindly. I wasn't going to bother after trying the LED in the drivers side, but by a bizarre coincidence the passenger side failed a few days after. I got a pair of original bulbs via ebay shipped over from Germany for £35 and replaced them both. After wasting a tenner on LEDs that weren't bright enough, I wasn't prepared to risk wasting any more.
  7. I know this is late, but on my last three cars I've used a brand called Altenzo - tehy used to be available from Halfords, but now only though tyretraders.com. They're an Australian brand, not sure where they're made, but I just had 4 225/55/17s fitted for a total of £200! I've had them on other cars and they've been brilliant, they have an economy rating of B and a wet grip of B, and are as quiet as anything too. Maybe not as goot as a super premium, but well better than any budgets at less than budget prices.
  8. Hi Just gotten a 2008 C5 saloon, 1.6HDI VTR+, dark grey. Had it about a month, so far very pleased with it. It's a replacement for my 2005 Peu 407 Estate 1.6 HDI, so effectively the same engine, but man, what a difference! I have a copuple of questions, which I'll stick up here in case anyone can give me a quick answer while I'm trawling existing posts... 1. Is there any way to adjust the alignment/sensitivity of the rear parking sensors? They seem to be catching the ground I think, need angling upwards somehow? 2. Is there any way to sync/lock/pair the climate control sttings, so that they are both the same temp? Could do it on my Peugeot. 3. Not sure if my car has bluetooth or not? Any way of telling. I've tried the instructions for pairing, but can not find the car. Cheers in advance TT
