  1. The DS is a bit of a half and half car in that the semi-leather seats are like wingback chairs but the ride is quite bouncy due to stiff springs. It can take corners better than it has any right to but it's not as comfy as the C4. Well I'm starting a new job and will be doing about 15k a year now so hopefully won't be an issue!
  2. If I'm honest I prefer the C4s supple ride but the dealer only had a 5 speed HDI 90 in stock and offered a better deal on it. I use premium fuel every other tank now just to keep it clean while I still run a diesel. My mileage is on the borderline for DPF problems so I want to try and avoid issues as much as I can! All that stuff is from the Gosport Diving museum; only there as right next to the beach I walk my dogs on
  3. The engine is shared with several models of Peugeot (depending on the power output, the 208/2008/308 presumably 3008 and maybe even the 5008) as well as the C/DS3, C/DS4, C3/C4 Grand Picasso, the Cactus...it's no surprise there are engine shortages sadly!
  4. This will sound a little bit dismissive and I don't mean it to be so. I had similar issues a while back with my DS4 1.6HDi. There was a very low rev hesitation, almost like the engine was in too high a gear but I was in first and so clearly that wasn't the case. Once the engine was warm it was fine but highly irritating. My local dealership in Fareham were very helpful but found no faults. After a while it promptly stopped. Few days later my neighbour who owns an old '03 Kia Carens 2.0CRDi reported exactly the same issues, exacerbated by the old fashioned torque converter automatic 'box. We both filled up roughly the same time from local supermarket and so our only real conclusion was dodgy fuel. My car and his have been acting fine ever since.
  5. Hi all! I'm the proud owner of a 61 plate DS4 1.6HDi DStyle, have been for about 6 months now. She had done 37k when I bought her and I've since put about 8k on her. Some teething problems with dodgy supermarket fuel and temperamental bluetooth aside, she's been a worthy companion and not let me down yet.
