I have just removed my engine and can get you some good pictures if you wish of the timing belt area/ water pump area. Let me know. hi all! sorry to be asking for help on the first post but...... well my cambelt snapped while i was driving along on friday and i ground to a halt! (as im sure you would expect!) i removed the rocker cover today only to find my camshaft in 2 bits and a mounting for it broken aswell! basicly i wana know is it a write off? or is it worth the hassel of a new cam and possiably a few valves? or a new head alltogether and just bolt off and bolt on the new one valves and all??? or should i break the car for parts?? - if so is there any intrest here? its not exactly sort after i wouldnt have thought? or anyone intrested in the car as a whole?? ANY HELP OR RECOMENDATIONS GREATFULLY RECIVED!!! the car is a citroen zx 1.9D auto advantage estate with 63,000 miles on the clock. many thanks all the best everyone and happy posting. phil. :ph34r:
