  1. So Latte how did you fare with your sft top design. Did you get it to work and how did you over come the bands to allow roof height. Would be intersted to know the outcome and if its what you imagined. Kind regards
  2. You are right Hertsminds to compare the Pluriel to a sports car would be wrong. To own an MX5 or the like would restrict your use. An sports car couldn't carry what the pluriel can, or be as easy going. The wee car turns heads without the revving. It's styling and function is quite unique. It is the first of a new breed. A true 21st century car, using 21st century technology. A transformer rather than a hatch or a spider. A true modular convertable. Yes being an ex 2CV driver, you get the same waves from other Pluriel drivers. This happening in Northern Ireland where distrust is common, is totally remarkable. The car is good for the peace process. woman especially, say nice car when they pass. Then at £50 a year for the tax, low insurance and running costs. what more could you ask for £10,000
  3. Yes the engine had been fully run in and was running better. but the ZX1 really changed the car. Then again I did treat everything with the stuff. Will have to see how long it lasts, as I will have the super little car for a while. Then again the roads in Northern Ireland are not as congested as they are in the mainland, especial;ly the home counties. Thanks for the feed back though. Regards Will
  4. When I first bought my Pluriel 1.4HDI I was far from impressed with the performance. It was sluggish on the hills and the MPG was low. Around 40 to 45mpg. Then I came across Extralube ZX1 at halfords. It's a micro oil metal treatment, friction eliminator and can be added to the oil, water and fuel and lasts about 100,000 miles. It is unlike the old Slick 50 in that it doesn't layer and bonds to metal only, so rubbers and seals are safe. More than I can say for the front tyres. I now get around 55 to 60mpg and the car really moves. Usually add to fuel every 6 months, just to keep it nice. Check it out and prepare to be impressed. No I don't work for Extralube, but believe it's a great product and if it saves fuel, it's good for the old environment. Happy driving
  5. I own a Pluriel 1.4 HDI and have finally got the perfect modern classic. well done Citroen. However when you are away from home with the roof removed, I find that not having the roof bars on board is a problem. Has anyone came across or devised a way of spliting the roof bars so they car be stored in the boot or back seat. If I could carry the bars, then true perfection would be reached.
  6. I live in North West Ulster. We get alot of rain and never have a hosepipe ban. I bought my Pluriel 1.4HDI in October 2005. It has been returned to the dealer four times to date. It leaks at the roof beam unions and soakes both front seats and under the drivers door below the speaker. My dealer bought me a new digital camera following the first flood and he knows me very well now. However when you do get the sun it is just fantastic driving with the roof off along the winding coastal roads of Donegal and Antrim. No other car could provide that level of freedom and still not kill the pocket. Well car has returned after the product recall and it is a glowing success. Have left and drove the car in serious rain and not a leak to be seen. Wonderful. Has anyone found any way to split the roof bars so they could be stored on board,
