  1. cheers, ill check it tomorrow. if its not hydraulic operated ill check the clutch, might possibly be the origional one. van has 72k miles on it
  2. have a 2.0l hdi relay 2005, i notice when taking off in 1st gear or reversing it like shutters or jumps a little, like the exhaust is hitting or something. checked the exhaust and its grand and all engine mountains are good too. Maybe its just normal for them
  3. Thanks for the info, much appriciated
  4. Van stopped charging and needs an alternator. The motor factors said there is 6 different types all different amps. My vad is a 2005 mwb 2.0l hdi, ive found a guy with a 2004 mwb 2.0l hdi who has one for sale at a good price but is there any way of knowing if its the same or can i put any on it. i can bring my alternator with me to try check one of the other. i attached a photo of the numbers on it but doesnt seem to give any info that i can see to check on the one the guy has.
  5. thanks for the info, i will do that
  6. black plug relay bottom right beside the fuse box
  7. i just serviced it a few weeks back so i need to figure out how to knock it off. the oile level changes when its level. it reads right on the dipstick so i went with that
  8. Here is a pic attached
  9. there is a light with a picture of an engine on it in red when i turn the ignition on and it gos out after a few seconds
  10. i will check tomorrow, engine light wasnt on before i replaced it. i will check and see and replace the bulb if it needs it unless the previous owner took it out as it was low on power when i bought it and he was desperate to sell. ill check and post up tomorrow evening
  11. Found the problem to loss of power. i checked boost, turbo, actuator etc and my head was melted. i took the mass air flow sensor out to clean it and put it back in and no luck but i disconnected it and bang i had responsive revs. So i took it out the driveway it it was great. So i parked it up incase driving with it dosconnect would cause damage so i ordered a new one for 58 euro and done the job. totally different van to drive.
  12. you could use am adjustable actuator and make a plate to adapt it. i have a starlet turbo and fitted a subaru turbo on it so had to make a plate for the actuator, i would assume you could do the same. if you knew what boost there meant to run you could break the line temporary and fit a boost guage to check the boost as you adjusted it till its right.
  13. thats 18 litres, i put 20 euro in mine which is about 14 pounds equvilant and 16 litres and i have 110 kilometres on it and havent used half it yet, works out about 70 miles. So looks like it will ok on fuel. Will be good to see what i get, just i only use it for biking so will take a while to use it
  14. thats grand, thanks for the info
  15. Just curious as to roughly what a 2.0l hdi swb relay van will get when empty all the time. bought it to carry a mountain bike in and make a seating area in the back eventually. just curious as to what to expect from it. i know its a big van so was hoping for 30mpg. Just wondering does anyone have one and what they get, i just bought this last week and only done 90kms in it so far. its not a high roof either
