thanks I tried driving with the maf sensor disconnected and it was the same il have a look for the dpf soon

cheers inside the tail pipe is black so looks like dpf issue not sure what that is though il try to figure it out but am I barking up the wrong tree asking is the dpf at the engine end of the exaust?

ive cleared the codes and 4 of them came back they are p1351 IDM Input Circuit Malfunction/ Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage p1445 Purge Flow Sensor Circuit High Input p0104 mas or volume airflow a circuit intermittent and p0113 temperature sensor 1 intake air circuit high (think i miss typed this code earlier) i have taken off the egr valve and the maf sensor cleaned them and refitted but this had no effect. the screen in the center of the dash board also says risk of particle filter blocking and esp asr system faul, i will look i the end of the tail pipe tomorrow and see if its clean or not thanks again for the advice folks

would it be straight forward to blank the egr valve on my 2004 c5 or would it make the computer go crazy?

I recently bought a c5 1.6 diesel it has an engine management light on and has very little power. I bought a cheap code reader and this is what it had to say: p0402 exhaust gas recirculation flow excessive detected. p0104 mas or volume airflow a circuit intermittent p0133 temperature sensor 1 intake air circuit high. p1457 manufacturer control. p0098 intake air temperature sensor 2 circuit high. p1471 manufacturer control. p0122 throttle pedal position sensor switch a circuit low. p0238 turbo charger/supercharger boost sensor a circuit high. p1351 manufacturer control. p1445 manufacturer control. I think this means I have a faulty egr valve or turbo or both, what do people think? thanks in advance wendy
