I have this steering rack with a bit of play on one end, left hand side which results in some knocking noise. Nothing serious but a new bush will definitely help. I know that you will all redirect me to buy a new steering rack or a second hand but all it needs is a new bush. I cant find any on the net. Everyone wants to sell a new steering rack. That,s more profitable obviously. I am sure someone is producing these bushing for citroen. Buying a second hand steering rack might result in having the same amount of play so wont gain anything. And a new one will cost exorbitantly. Its a simple fix, why make things so difficult. If anyone can help I will appreciate. Thanks

Thanks Paul. Its not the anti rotation device I was referring to but the track rod removal tool itself. The inner tie rod dome does not have a flat side/surface so I had to invent something. I am uploading a picture of the tool I managed to do from an old piece of pipe with three 6mm bolts at the far end. The pipe is positioned over the track rod and once the bolts are tightened the tie rod can be removed with an anti clockwise motion. Hope the picture helps.

Hi. Bought this citron C3 2003 with 41k kilometers. It had some knocking noise coming from underneath and I was guessing ball joint issues. Upon inspection I found a faulty inner tie rod which is not a big deal. Do I really need the special tool to remove or is there a way to work around?
