  1. Found this. What surprised me is the relationship between the two 'faults' first one and when that was 'fixed' the other appeared. Just not sure whether it is real or an anomaly. Personally I have no connection to the car I just don't want the grief of it but that doesn't mean that others don't, from its history.........
  2. Hi Thanks for your response. The fault code was c1350 electro-valve internal, but I've heard that the faults can be quite spurious. I don't know about the fluid. I only looked at it when the ABS fault arose. Saw it was about halfway between full and Danger so topped up a bit in case that had got low enough to raise an issue. The brakes work OK but no ABS. They were fine until the garage connected up the diagnostics for the EML. Seems too much of a coincidence. This thing is driving me nuts. Don't like French cars at the best of times and feel obliged with this one. The C5 seems such an odd ball for faults and I have yet to find anything worthwhile about the car. It has no endearing features that I can find. Cheers Softers

  4. Hi Father in law died recently and my wife has been tasked with selling his beloved C5 estate (34k miles). Trying to keep it in good shape so using at least once a week. The other day the engine management light came on after starting it one very cold morning and the battery wasn't at its best. Charged the battery and the light stayed on. Took it to their usual garage and they put diagnostics on it. They got the EM light off but now the STOP, ABS and Handbrake warning lamp are on permanently. Topped up the brake fluid and checked the handbrake switch which is OK. I am new to Citroens and I understand the C5 can be a little difficult to diagnose. Anyone got ideas as to what the problem is likely to be and where I can find out how to fix it. Anyone know anyone who wants a low mileage good condition 2001 C5 estate. Thanks in Advance softers.
